Props - Temperature Load
The prop can be loaded by a uniform temperature change. The input requires a thermal coefficient of expansion αt and change in temperature Δt between current and previous construction stage.
Temperature load
The magnitude of the additional force in prop due to change in temperature is given by:
where: | αt | - | thermal coefficient of expansion |
Δt | - | change in temperature | |
E | - | elastic modulus | |
A | - | cross-sectional area |
